Video studio
Trim, crop and rotate a video, all on one screen.
Open an MP4 or MOV and make every change with the picture in front of you, then export it as MP4, WebM or GIF. A trim or a turn copies the frames untouched; a crop or a new size, codec or format encodes them again. Nothing is uploaded.

Once the video is exported
For one quick crop next time, Crop Video does just that on a single page.
Crop a videoQuestions
Which of the edits lower the quality?
Only Crop. Trimming and rotating copy the frames into the new file as they are — the turn is written into the file’s header, the way phones record it — so nothing is encoded again. A crop changes the picture, so every frame is encoded again as H.264, and the trim and the turn are done in that same pass.
Why does Crop not work in Safari or on my iPhone?
Safari starts encoding the video and then stops part-way through, so the studio does not offer anything that encodes there. Trim and Rotate still work, because they copy the frames instead. Every browser on an iPhone or iPad uses Safari’s engine, Chrome included.
Can I save my settings as a preset?
Saving your own presets is coming with Pro. Leave an address under the inspector to hear when it arrives. Everything the studio does today is free, with no limit and no watermark.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video is read and edited in this tab, and the new file is made in your browser’s memory and downloaded from there. Nothing is sent to a server.
