Questions
Is my screenshot uploaded?
No. The picture is opened by your browser and drawn onto a canvas in this tab, and the file you download is made from that canvas. Nothing is sent to a server.
Does the shape crop my screenshot?
No. Choosing 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 or 9:16 adds background around the frame until it has that shape; the screenshot itself is kept whole and in the middle. To cut part of it away, use the Image Cropper first.
Why is the background white in my JPG?
With no background, the corners and padding are transparent, and a JPG cannot store transparency. The page fills them with white for a JPG and says so; a PNG keeps them transparent.
Is the output the same size as my screenshot?
The screenshot is drawn at its own pixels, with the padding and border added around it. Only a result too large for a browser canvas is scaled down, and the page says by how much before you download.
