PDF to image

Every page a picture,
at the size you need

Turn the pages of a PDF into PNG or JPG files. See every page first, choose the resolution, then save one page or all of them in a ZIP. The document is drawn in this tab and never leaves it.

PDF

The document is opened and drawn in this tab. It is never uploaded, and nothing about it is stored.

Once the pages are pictures

If you need them back in one document — reordered, or with pages from elsewhere — the builder puts a set of images into a single PDF.

Questions

Which resolution should I choose?

72 dpi is the page at its own size on a screen. 150 dpi is sharp for slides, previews and the web, and an A4 page comes out 1240 × 1754 pixels. 300 dpi is what printers ask for, and an A4 page comes out 2480 × 3508.

PNG or JPG?

PNG for documents, diagrams and anything with small type: it keeps every edge sharp and is larger. JPG for photographs and for sending: it is much smaller and very slightly soft around text.

Why did one page come out at a lower resolution?

Because it is very large — a poster or a drawing sheet. A browser can only draw a picture of so many pixels, so that page is drawn at the highest resolution that fits. The page names it before you save, and every other page keeps the resolution you chose.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The document is opened and every page is drawn and saved in this tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
