Questions
What size does a Discord emoji have to be?
Discord’s developer documentation describes the emoji image as 128 × 128 and sets a maximum file size of 256 KiB. This page writes exactly 128 × 128 and checks the file against that limit before offering it.
Will it lower the quality to fit?
Almost never. A 128 × 128 PNG in full colour is far smaller than 256 KB, so the file is normally written without giving anything up, and the page says so. If it ever had to reduce the colours, the page names that step and what the full-colour file weighed.
Can I make an animated emoji here?
Not yet. This page makes still emoji from PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG pictures; animated GIF emoji follow different rules and are not made here.
